Magda returns to her hometown for her school reunion and to see her widowed father. Her former best friend Sophia has never left, and is now a single mum to a little girl. This is a rather bland story about two former friends coming into contact with one another again, with a bit more baggage between them. I spent much of the second half waiting for something unexpected to happen or a shock reveal from the past but it never eventuated. There was also too much explaining of people’s thoughts and feelings for my taste.
