Several chick lit authors have featured on the list of the top 100 best-selling authors of the noughties, as compiled by Nielsen BookScan. With JK Rowling taking out top spot, Marian Keyes is the top-performing chick lit author, coming in at No. 28. She's followed by Sophie Kinsella (31), Helen Fielding (42), Cecelia Ahern (43) - who all beat out William Shakespeare at No. 45. Others to make the list include Katie Price (59), Jill Mansell (60), Jane Green (73), Cathy Kelly (76), Meg Cabot (81) and Sheila O'Flanagan (92).
