Widow Sally Lachlan meets like-minded professional medical researcher Anthony Blake on a flight to a conference in Spain. Their chance meeting causes sparks of attraction to ignite. However, Sally is recovering from her past disastrous marriage and is fragile. She’s solo parenting her 17-year-old daughter, Charlie, and has become best friends with her husband’s former lover. Anthony is seemingly perfect but can Sally recover from the wounds of her marriage to allow herself to love him?
This book is a great combination of a mysterious past that is told by way of flashbacks and in the present of learning to love again and dealing with the consequences of our decisions. (LF) 7/10
