Re-inventing Tara (2002)

TV astrologer Tara MacDonald has the life she always dreamed of. But with tabloid journalist Jordan about to ghost write a book for her, she is worried her past is going to be made public. She was once an unhappy, teased, fat girl called Scarlett, from Glasgow. But a friendship with her English teacher, Flora, saw her reinvent herself into the gorgeous media darling she is now. But with Jordan on the trail of a scoop - and aiming to bed her too - Tara needs to keep one step ahead. Switching between past and present, this loses points for the writer's device of showing what each character is thinking at a particular moment. Sometimes it was clever and funny but after a while it just became annoying.
