NEW RELEASE

Bittersweet - Sarah Monk (2010)

Nell and Ange have become friends through dating brothers Marcus and Justin. After a turbulent flight back from Prague where the boys really showed their true colours, the girls toss in their jobs and take off to stay with Nell's godmother Maud in Cornwall. Outgoing Ange scores herself a job behind the bar of the local pub. Nell - who makes a mean cupcake - buys up a neglected cafe, earning herself a spot on a reality TV program with a dishy host. But it seems her tastebuds for love are instead whetted by the guy who's always around at Maud's. This is an easily digestible read which sees two women dump their unsavoury boyfriends and start over again in a fresh environment. 6/10

Bittersweet - Sarah Monk

Nell and Ange have their whole lives mapped out with their fiances, brothers Marcus and Justin. But when a trip to Prague goes pear-shaped, the plane brings them back down to earth with a bump. Desperate for a change of direction, Nell leaves her job and her sorry excuse for a boyfriend, and sets off to see her aunt in Cornwall with Ange in tow. The girls soon settle into village life - Nell opens up a cake shop and Ange pulls pints (and men) as a barmaid. But not everything in this quaint seaside town is quite what it seems.
