Cath is raising three children alone after her husband died. After unfairly losing her job as a teaching assistant, and with her oldest child Leanne off to college, Cath agrees to take in an American student as lodger.
But the geeky teen she imagined, in fact, turns out to be Dan, a mature-age student who is far too good looking.
This was a witty and poignant story of a woman realigning her life after misfortune, and Dan was a wonderfully kind guy who you hope will become a part of the family.
