After losing a baby and breaking up with her boyfriend, Toni is sad and disappointed. Changing the environment always helps, so she decides to visit her father. Rick, producer of TV dating show Could This Be It?, is happy to share his world with his daughter. And somehow Toni winds up as a contestant on his show.
Meanwhile, Will agrees to participate in the show because Rick secretly promises that he will help him with his own interactive show Family Quest. After his wife Emm left him and took his stepson to Florida, how hard can it be to act a bit on a dating show? So a guy with a special deal and the daughter of the producer become involved in emotions that none of them is ready for. Fate always has its own way so from the beginning we are asking ourselves: Could this be it - for them?
With great characters, this romantic story puts ordinary people into unusual situations. You never know where and when love will find you... (MH) 8/10


 

Gigi's Island Dream (2016)

 

On the day of the funeral of her grandmother Una, Gigi informs her father and family that she doesn’t want to sell Bluebell Farm which she inherited. Instead she wants to live there. Her father offers to help her refurbish the house and give her financial help for 12 months. So sculptor Gigi sets up her own studio on the farm and is really enjoying her new way of life. Then her father is arrested and all his assets are blocked. Left on her own with debts to pay and an irresponsible brother to take care of, Gigi faces the struggle between her dreams and survival of her family. So full of emotions, respect, love, Gigi is the person who deserves everything but will she get it?
This is a beautiful story about family relations, friendship and the spirit of good people who stay with us long after they are gone. It's one of the best books I've read in the past few years. (MH) 9/10
