Bethany Lu is an artist who is obsessed with actor Keanu Reeves. When she discovers that he’s getting married in 90 days, she sets off on a quest to find him, with her loyal friend, college professor True, tagging along.
As Lu has many near-Keanu misses, bumps into various celebrities, and is wooed by an investor, it seems her true love has been right in front of her all this time.
This was a case of being wooed into a book by the cute cover and title. But the premise of tracking down Keanu soon turned into page after page of a 40-something woman fighting the blatantly obvious fact that her late brother’s mate should be more than a friend.
With lots of inner monologues from both main characters and humour that just didn’t translate, I skimmed the second half to see if she did meet Keanu but actually by then I didn’t even care.
