Stella Price decides to embark on a career change following a disastrous affair which has ended her former career. She becomes a wedding photographer and throws herself into her newfound passion. Yet her ardour for photography is not the only one she has.
A spanner is thrown into the works when she attends a residential course in a French chateau given by the gorgeous Connor Knight – a highly successful photographer but with a huge ego and rock star image to boot. The pair clash but there is an immediate frisson between them and they quickly find themselves embroiled in a passionate exchange.
The question is do they have a future? Connor is sceptical of the cliched “happily ever after” even though behind his rock star facade, there lies a much softer side to his character. And can Stella overcome her past mistakes to love again and will she convince Connor that sometimes when you get the chance of romance, you have to just seize the opportunity and trust your own instinct.
What a fabulous book! It was warm, engaging, sassy and sexy. The author has plotted and delivered a wonderful narrative with an array of strong characters who give the story such depth and dimension.
The main character Stella is just amazing – the type of girl you wish was your best friend. Her journey from self-doubt to self-actualisation is fabulous and I was so drawn to her. Her path to self-discovery is so relatable and punctuated with hilarious comic moments along the way.
There are other secondary characters who are also very appealing which adds to the storyline, enabling it to flow beautifully.
Extremely well written with a protagonist who the reader feels immediately drawn to, this book is like a breath of fresh air and gives the reader an immediate boost. Highly recommend. (LP)
