What Time Is Love? (2022)

Set over three time periods, Violet and Albert – who are born on the same day – meet as 20-year-olds. Albert comes from a wealthy family with political connections, while Violet is from a working-class Welsh family.
In 1947, as England is recovering from the war and women are leaving the workforce to return to home duties, Letty is introduced by her post office colleague Rose to her brother Bertie.
In 1967, amid free love, commune living and the rise of feminism, Violet and Al meet at university.
In 1987, ahead of the rise of New Labour’s Cool Britannia, English lit student Vi bumps into environmental activist Albert at a club.
The three-part storyline was an intriguing concept, their stories are well told, and the period details were interesting. But I just didn’t gel with the characters’ relationship in any of the iterations. 6/10
