Abbie meets Turkish student Oz at a rally in London and even in the short time they spend together before he returns home to Istanbul, they forge a strong connection. Years later, Abbie has become a lawyer to make her father proud and is engaged to fellow lawyer Charlie when she has another chance encounter with Oz. Is their destiny to be together?
It’s easy to lose yourself in this romantic story with its dreamy settings as obstacles and bad timing are thrown into the path of true love. I did find the story a bit melodramatic at times though and there are many meetings to keep track of as the narrative bounces around in time and place. But overall, a promising debut.
