Faking It (2023)

Sophie is needing a plus-one for her sister’s wedding after the guy she’s been dating seems to lose interest.
So Sophie – who pens an anonymous column about the perils of being single while all your friends are settling down - changes her dating profile to request someone willing to come along to the family event as a fake boyfriend. And newly divorced Harry replies.
With several nods to her predecessor Bridget Jones, this was a light-hearted read about coming to terms with being happy by yourself. But it definitely did not live up to Mark Darcy-level chemistry or Daniel Cleaver rivalry to add some spark. Indeed, some parts felt rather repetitive so it probably would have been better a bit shorter. But I did enjoy the ending. 6/10
