Ally Carter, author of the Gallagher Girls series, has a new novel called Heist Society out early next year. The summary says: "When Katarina Bishop was three, her parents took her on a trip to the Louvre . . . to case it. For her seventh birthday, Katarina and her Uncle Eddie travelled to Austria ... to steal the crown jewels. When Kat turned 15, she planned a con of her own - scamming her way into the best boarding school in the country, determined to leave the family business behind." But then Kat's former co-conspirator, Hale, tells her that a powerful mobster suspects her father of stealing his art collection. So to save her father's skin, Kat plans to track down the paintings and steal them back. She's got two weeks, a teenage crew, and hopefully just enough talent to pull off the big heist. Heist Society is out in February.

In Boys, Girls and Other Hazardous Materials, by Rosalind Wiseman, Charlie Healey thinks Harmony Falls high school is the beginning of a whole new life - after her middle school days were ruined by mean girls. But on her first day she runs into Will, her ex-best friend, who had moved away. Now a hunky athlete, Will hangs with the crowd running the school. When an innocent delivery guy falls victim to their near-deadly hazing prank, Charlie is torn between doing what's right or protecting Will. Wiseman is the author of the non-fiction book Queen Bees & Wannabes, which inspired the movie Mean Girls starring Lindsay Lohan. Boys, Girls and Other Hazardous Materials is out in January.

Robin Palmer (Cindy Ella, Geek Charming) continues her fairytale-inspired novels with Little Miss Red, about a girl who wants a more exciting life. Its summary says: "Sophie Greene gets good grades, does the right thing and has a boyfriend that her parents - and her younger brother - just love. (Too bad she doesn't love him.) Sophie dreams of being more like Devon Deveraux, star of her favorite romance novels, but, in reality, Sophie isn't even daring enough to change her nail polish. All of that changes when Sophie goes to Florida to visit her grandma Roz, and she finds herself seated next to a wolfishly good-looking guy on the plane. The two hit it off, and before she knows it, Sophie's living on the edge. But is the drama all it's cracked up to be?" Little Miss Red is out in February. Palmer's next series, Yours Truly, Lucy B. Parker, about a 12-year-old girl whose new stepsister is a Hannah Montana-type superstar, kicks off in mid-2010 with Girl vs Superstar.
