The Complete Idiot's Guide to Eating Paleo - Neely Quinn, Jason Glaspey (2012)
Never have I ever read a "diet" book as informative as The Complete Idiot's Guide to Eating Paleo. I don't think I've ever understood or have been changed by a "diet" book in my life, until this one. It gives you a complete understanding of eating like our hunter-gatherer ancestors did. It's filled with information about the way our bodies digest and process food, the benefits of a "whole natural foods" lifestyle, a list of foods ranging from ideal to unacceptable, a modern take on the lifestyle and how to maintain it in the day of fast food/junk food, and recipes galore. I learnt more about my body in this book than I did in my college biology classes. A lifestyle book that isn't full of itself. There are even shopping lists and staple lists, I mean everything you will ever need to know is in this one book, and it all just makes sense. I'm just so impressed, and it's changed my life and pants size. If you are interested in eating healthier, and maintaining a healthy, simple, nutritious diet in this fast-paced world, this guide to the Paleolithic diet is the book for you. (AV)
