Mothers and Daughters (2016)

Forty-something Alice still hasn’t come to terms with her husband’s premature death when her youngest daughter announces that she is expecting a child by a married man and the eldest announces that she is marrying a divorced man with two children. Trying to deal with a new grandchild and new step-grandchildren, Alice will have to face secrets from her husband’s past and her unexpected feelings for his best friend who is suddenly back in her life. This has an emotional story at its heart but it often seemed repetitive and somewhat predictable. (NP) 5/10
