Texan author Gwendolyn Zepeda's next novel Lone Star Legend is about Dominga "Sandy" Saavedra who lands her dream job with the iLatino Now! website. Wanting to make a name for herself writing hard-hitting pieces to combat Latino stereotypes, Sandy soon sees her editor-in-chief replaced by the infamous Dolores Villanueva O'Sullivan who is part of a gossip blog conglomerate. Sandy isn't sure if she can keep this job without losing her soul, especially when she's sent to Texas to investigate the Chupacabra - a sort of Big Foot of Latino legend. She fears she's about to fail an assignment until she meets Tio Jaime, a grandfatherly hermit who might be crazy, or might be the best thing that ever happened to Sandy's career. Lone Star Legend is out in January.
