CHICK LIT MEMOIR

Lisa Fineberg Cook, a self-described Jewish American Princess from LA, heads to Japan a week after her wedding when her new husband gets a job teaching English. In her memoir Japan Took the J.A.P. Out of Me, Lisa trades in her shopping sprees and regular visits to her manicurist to learn how to cook, clean, commute and shop like the Japanese. Plus she has to adjust to another foreign concept - marriage. As she makes new and unexpected friendships, Lisa gets a fresh understanding of what it means to feel different and finally begins to feel more at home in Nagoya.
