NEW RELEASE

I Heart Christmas - Lindsey Kelk (2013)

Angela has always loved the festive season and this year she's looking forward to spending a quiet one with her husband Alex. But when her boss informs her that she's going on a three-month sabbatical and Angela will be new interim editor, her plans for a calm, relaxing Christmas suddenly go out the window. And that's not all, her parents have decided to spend Christmas with Angela and Alex and have booked their flights, then Louise and her daughter, Grace, turn up unannounced too. When best friend Jenny brings up her baby plans, Angela has to face Alex's own baby questions and it's the last thing she's ready for. This was my first foray into the I Heart series (I know, I know) and it's clear I've been missing out. Riotous fun, awkward situations, rowdy friends, true romance, all wrapped up with a festive bow, this is pure chick lit gold. (JC)

Jenny Lopez Saves Christmas is a digital short story, a spin-off from Lindsey Kelk's I Heart series. The summary says: "Jenny Lopez has had a rubbish twelve months. Determined to turn her festive frown upside down, she plots an escape to Vermont, the best Christmas tree the world has ever seen and more bottles of champagne than is legal to transport across state lines. Someone's got to cheer up her friend Angela's holiday season. Nothing goes according to plan, starting with work and ending with her travelling companion. But this is Jenny Lopez. She's going to have the best Christmas known to man, even if it means dragging a turkey three miles in the snow. Single-handedly and in an inappropriate outfit Jenny Lopez is determined to save Christmas. Whether it likes it or not." Jenny Lopez Saves Christmas is out in November 2014.

Angela is back for another instalment in Lindsey Kelk's I Heart Christmas. The summary says: "Angela's planning her very own fairytale of New York ... Angela's twelve days of Christmas are shaping up well: Enormous tree, eggnog, eccentric British traditions, gorgeous man. But Santa's throwing her a few curveballs - new job (as if it's not mental enough already), new baby-craze from her best friend Jenny, and Alex determined they should grow up and settle down. Once friends start turning up uninvited on her doorstep (and leading her astray), can Angela really have a merry little Christmas? So much for happy holidays - something's got to give ..."
